Dorothy Ellen Simpson, 86, of Morristown, died Monday, February 6, 2017, at Springhurst Health Campus in Greenfield. She was born June 1, 1930, in Freeport, the daughter of William and Erna (Balting) Goble.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 66 years, Marvin Glenn Simpson. She is the beloved mother of Ken (Nancy) Simpson of Morristown, Kay Vezina and Karla Simpson both of Indianapolis and the loving grandmother of two grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Alice (Walt) Lenning of Morristown; sister-in-law, Liza Goble of Morristown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Paul Otis Goble.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, February 11, at Morristown United Methodist Church, 221 S. Washington St, in Morristown. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the church, with the Reverends David Simpson, Tommy Simpson and Jeri Barrett Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Hanover Cemetery in Shelby County.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 124 E. North St. in Morristown.
