Joseph B. Moorman, 75 of Fountaintown, Ind. passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 26, 1941, in Indianapolis to Joseph and Ella (Purcell) Moorman.

Joseph graduated from Scecina Memorial High School in 1959. He would then marry the love of his life, Theresa on April 28, 1962. He would spend his career working for Western Electric as a purchaser. Joseph was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael Catholic Church in Greenfield. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Joseph enjoyed building things, and was known to be a jack of all trades who always worked hard.

Surviving Joseph is his wife of 55 years, Theresa Moorman of Fountaintown; daughters, Deborah Arbogast, Julie (Jeffrey) Napier, Angela (Christopher) Burns; brother, Thomas Moorman; sisters, Mary Jo Steinhauer, Roseann Clark; 10 grandchildren, Jared, Sarah, Anna, Doug, Patty, Brad, William, Abby, Christian, Kalen, Brianna; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding Joseph in death are his parents listed above; daughter, Carla Partin; brothers, David Moorman, John Moorman; and sister, Helen Wenning.

A memorial visitation for Joseph will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 519 Jefferson Blvd, Greenfield, IN 46140 with inurnment to immediately follow at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
