Laurie Ann (Bell) Kissee, 51 of Coal City, Ind. passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, peacefully at home with her family by her side. Laurie was born on August 13, 1965, in Greenfield to Shirley Clark and Thomas Bell.

Laurie spent most of her life tending to the wellbeing of others as a nurse, and as an aid to people with special needs. She married Jeffrey Kissee on August 28, 1993, in Munster, Ind. Laurie decided to focus on spending time with her family rather than continuing her journey as a labor and delivery nurse in 2011. She loved crocheting, crafting, and being a mother to not only her children, but her hermit crabs as well.

Surviving Laurie is her husband, Jeff Kissee of Coal City, Ind.; sons, Cody Rutledge and Thomas Kissee of Coal City, Ind.; daughters, Eva Kissee of Glen Burnie, Md., Abigail Kissee, Hannah Kissee, and Rebekah Kissee all of Coal City, Ind.; brothers, Bradley (Courtney) Bell of Nashville, Ind., Stephen Farber; sister, Cathy Estep of Worthington, Ind.; and several cousins and nieces.

Preceding Laurie in death are her father, Thomas Bell; stepfather, Carl Clark; stepmother, Sarah Bell; and aunt, Frances Flynn.

Visitation for Laurie will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. also at the funeral home immediately following the visitation. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, 621 South State St, Greenfield, IN 46140.
