Thomas J. Van Alst, 57 of Muncie, Ind. passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born on April 13, 1959, in Indianapolis, to the late Charles and Mary (McKinstray) Van Alst.
Surviving Thomas is his wife, Carol Van Alst of Muncie; son, Thomas Van Alst; daughters, Carly Fox, Jillian Van Alst both of Greenfield, and Melissa Van Alst of Muncie; stepdaughter, Danielle Farquar of Muncie; sisters, Cheryl Jones of Greenfield; Vicki Vickers of Tifton, Ga.; and 13 grandchildren.
Preceding Thomas in death are his parents whom are listed above; brothers, Brett Van Alst and Mark Van Alst.
Visitation for Thomas will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main St, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. immediately following the visitation. Burial will follow the service at Park Cemetery in Greenfield, 621 South State St, Greenfield, IN 46140.
