Shirley Joan Bruce, 84, of Vevay, died Friday, December 2, 2016, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. She was born May 23, 1932 in St. Louis, Missouri. On November 15, 1953, she married her husband of 63 years, Raymond Ambrose “Ray” Bruce, and he survives.
Shirley is also survived by her daughter, Kathy Gordon and husband, Dan, of Morristown; sons, Ray Bruce Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Fountaintown, Bill Randle and wife, Pam, of Greenfield, and Bob Randle and wife, Susan, of Missouri; sister, Gwendolyn Payne and husband, Dale, of Omaha, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Monday, December 5, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Frazier Chapel, 124 E. North St. in Morristown, with Eastern Star services at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, at the funeral home, with Pastor Dan Eckart officiating. Interment will be at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
