Nancy K. Smith, 72, of New Palestine, died November 15, 2016. Nancy was born August 19, 1944, in Glezen, Ind., to Marion and Lavon (Stone) Shoultz.
Nancy married the love of her life, Elmer Smith on October 20, 1961, they enjoyed 55 years together. Nancy was a custodian for New Palestine Elementary for nearly twenty years. She loved camping, baking, and cooking for others.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by one sister, Shannon Owens.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Elmer Smith; daughters, Angie Slusher (Scott), Christine Mossburg (John), and Dee Ann Dobson (Vince); her son, Frank Smith and his two boys, Chase and Mason, as well as six other grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
There will be a visitation for Nancy from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, at Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel, 19 E. Main St. New Palestine, IN. 46163. Funeral services are at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, November 20, at Glancy – H. Brown and Sons Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren, IN. 46792 with visitation from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Mossburg Cemetery, Liberty Center, Ind. and will directly follow the funeral service.
