NEW PALESTINE — Sixth-grade students from Zion Lutheran School immersed themselves in science during the Outdoor Education program at Camp Lakeview in Seymour recently. Sixth-graders at Zion Lutheran take the trip every year.

During their time there, the students were able to observe how living things interact and depend on each other, go on a nature hike to discover and identify plant and animal life, talk about all they had observed, read Bible passages pertaining to all they had seen and participate in a campfire devotion.

The activities continued with nature exploration and collection and zip lining through the trees. In addition, the students were able to fit archery, horseback riding, swimming, canoeing and camp games into their time at Camp Lakeview.
