Dorothy H. Brinkley
Dorothy H. Brinkley, 94, Fortville, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Kindred Transitional Care in Greenfield. She was born September 28, 1921, in Durham, N.C., to the late James N. and Zona (Forsythe) Page.
Dorothy was a homemaker and had also been a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Fortville and the Anderson Quilting Club. She had retired from the former Western Electric Plant in Indianapolis in 1965.
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Kay Ecoff of Ft. Myers, Fla., Gayle P. Henson of Hixson, Tenn., Marcia P. (Kitt) Lorenzen of Port St. Lucie, Fla. and Natalie L. (Sean) Stickney of Dallas, Ga.; Don Henson; 11 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burke Brinkley in 2006; brothers, Emerson and Lockwood Page; sisters, Frances Brinkley, Catherine Wychocki, Jessie Whaley and Zona Scitar.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 2, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 3, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
