SWAT team called to Greenfield home

The Hancock County SWAT team surrounded a home on the southeast side of Greenfield Monday night after a woman locked herself inside and threatened to commit suicide, police said.

Local 911 dispatchers were contacted by the woman’s family just before 8 p.m., dispatch records show. The family told police the woman had several guns with her inside the home.

Members of the SWAT team used a PA system to talk with the woman for about an hour. She eventually came out of the home and was transported to a hospital for a medical evaluation without further incident, police said. No one was injured.
