Max E. Byrnes, 76, Morristown, died Friday, August 19, 2016, at Morristown Manor. He was born on August 28, 1939, in Hendricks county as the son of Francis and Emma (Dalton) Byrnes.
Max is survived by his son, Brian E. (Kelly) Byrnes of Morristown; daughter, Tammie L. (Marvin) Jones of Fountaintown; brothers, Leroy Byrnes of Mooresville, Donald Byrnes of Shelbyville, Lawrence (Marian) Byrnes of Goshen, Raymond (Carol) Byrnes of Frankfort and Jimmy (Judy) Byrnes of Mooresville; sisters, Doris (Jack) Stokes of Coatsville and Irene (Fory) Wellenstein of Hiwasse, Ark.; five grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Max was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Emma Byrnes; wife, Marcia L. Byrnes; infant sons, Kenneth Wayne Byrnes and Kevin Dwayne Byrnes; brothers, Ernie Byrnes and Tom Byrnes; and sisters, Mildred Byrnes, Jean Hinshaw, Grace Byrnes and Phyllis Burton.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 25, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 26, at Little Blue River Friends Church, 5939 County Rd. 1000 W., Morristown, IN 46161. Pastor Don Brewer and Pastor David Oakes will be officiating. Burial will follow at Friends Cemetery in Morristown.
