Norma “Louise” (Jensen) Rea, 85, Greenfield, passed away July 22, 2016, at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on April 9, 1931, in Indianapolis as the daughter of August C. Jensen and Mary Ann (Admire) Jensen.
She graduated from Southport High School in 1949. She worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier for 25 years before retiring. Louise was a member of Bradley United Methodist Church, volunteered for Wesley’s Closet, loved bowling and playing cards.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Ken) Reich, of Roanoke, Ind.; sons, Joseph (Mary) Rea, of Brandon, Fld., Stephen (Becky) Rea, of Greenfield, and Kenny (Lori) Rea, of Greenfield; sister, Sue Steelman, of Indianapolis; and brother, James (Janet) Jensen, of Indianapolis; 11 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Phyllis Kidd.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory. Reverend Linda Brackney of Bradley United Methodist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at Park Cemetery in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent directly to Bradley United Methodist Church, the American Diabetes Association, or the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
