GREENFIELD — A former Mt. Vernon Schools teacher’s aide accused of having sexual relationships with several male students has been released from jail on bond.

After Kisha Nuckols’ arrest in April, a judge set her bond at $20,000 cash. This week, she asked for that amount to be reduced to $5,000; the request was granted, and jail records show Nuckols was released Thursday.

Nuckols faces four felony sexual assault-related charges amid allegations from two Mt. Vernon High School students who said they met the 38-year-old Fortville woman outside of school for sex on separate occasions, charging documents state.

Nuckols had been employed with the school district for about three years, working as a teacher’s aide at Mt. Vernon Middle School, a substitute at Mt. Vernon High School and lifeguard, police said. She was fired after the criminal charges were filed.
