Chicken and noodle dinner is May 14

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church’s next Second Saturday Community Dinner is set for 4:30 to 6 p.m. May 14.

The menu features chicken and noodles (noodles are homemade), a salad bar and a variety of desserts. A free-will offering will be accepted for the meal.

Breakfast will raise money for missions

EDEN — Eden United Methodist Church, 2122 Eden Road, will serve breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. today. Free-will donations will be accepted to support local and global missions.

Gospel singer to performs today

GREENFIELD — Contemporary gospel singer Marcus Young will be in concert from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. today at the Riley Wranglers’ 32nd annual Arts and Crafts Fair.

The events take place at the Hancock County 4-H Fairgrounds, 620 N. Apple St.

Pork chop dinner scheduled at church

MOHAWK — Mohawk United Methodist Church will serve a pork chop dinner from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at the church, 2045 W. County Road 400N.

A free-will offering will be accepted.

Open house is chance to check out group

GREENFIELD — Mothers of children from infants through kindergartners are invited to a party from 9 to 11 a.m. May 20 at Brandywine Community Church, 1551 E. New Road.

Bring your children; the event features Fun Jumps bounce houses, crafts, snacks, Healthy Hands cooking, Purdue Extension Block Party, information from Hancock County Public Library, and MOPS Swap.

Fish fry planned at Mt. Lebanon church

BRANDYWINE TOWNSHIP — Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 3447 S. State Road 9, will serve a fish fry from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 21. The menu will feature fried fish, hot dogs, French fries, hush puppies, cole slaw, dessert and beverage.

A free-will offering will be accepted, with proceeds going to missions and special projects.

Booth space available for Rent-a-Space sale

INDIANAPOLIS — Zion United Church of Christ at the corner of South Post Road and Troy Avenue in Indianapolis has among its upcoming events an Indoor-Outdoor Rent-a-Space Sale. See the church website for details at zionuccindy.net. Deadline to reserve space is May 23.

GREENFIELD — Park Chapel Christian Church offers a free TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) weight-loss class to new attendees. The class meets from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 1176 E. McKenzie Road.

Motorcycle riders gather for fellowship

GREENFIELD — Members of the Crossroad Riders, the Greenfield chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, meet at 9 a.m. the third Saturday of most months at Jim Dandy restaurant and also gather in warmer months to enjoy rides together.
