Property tax deadline fast approaching
HANCOCK COUNTY — Time is ticking away to pay your spring property taxes.
Hancock County property taxes are due Tuesday.
Payments can be made at or mailed to the Hancock County Treasurer’s Office, 111 American Legion Place, Suite 205, Greenfield. The treasurer’s office will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Payments that are mailed must be postmarked by Tuesday.
This weekend, the office will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday for people who need to drop off payments.
Payments also will be accepted at two Star Bank locations in Hancock County: 230 E. New Road in Greenfield and 310 Main Street in Shirley.
Payments may be dropped off at a drop box located at the front doors of the Hancock County Courthouse Annex, 111 American Legion Place. Payments may be dropped off there until midnight the day of deadline.
Payments also can be made online at hancockcoingov.org, but a convenience fee will be charged.
