Dale Eugene Huff died at home on April 11, 2016, in Greenfield. He lost his battle with cancer at the age of 74 surrounded by his family. He spent the last year of his life living with his son Derek and daughter-in-law Dana, who loved and took care of him like he was her own father.
Mr. Huff was born January 27, 1942, in Goreville, Ill., to his parents Andy and Mae Huff.
He worked for the U.S. Government since the age of 19. Dale retired from Fort Benjamin Harrison Finance Center.
He is survived by his father Andy E. Huff; children Martina (Fred) Dillow of Mesa, Ariz., Derek (Dana) Huff and Kendra Paige from Greenfield; grandchildren Robert, Lisa, Logan, Jakob, Julianna, Cooper and Dalen; and great-grandchildren Landan, Clay and Paige.
He was proceeded in death by his mother Violet Mae Huff; daughter, Lisa Michelle Huff; and an infant grandson, Fred Edward Dillow.
Celebration of Life is scheduled from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Huff’s Treehouse, 510
