Celia Genieve (Willard) Vail, 80, of McCordsville, died on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015. She was born on Jan. 20, 1935, in Hancock County as the daughter of James L. and Helen L. (Kingen) Willard.
Genieve is survived by her husband, Jack M. Vail of McCordsville; children, M. Kim (Karen) Vail of Santa Rosa, Calif., Steve (Shelley) Vail of Greenfield, Sharla (Joe) Ping of Franklin and Vernée (Kelly) Eads of McCordsville; siblings, Jackie (Norris) Kerkhof and Ed (Pat) Willard; nine grandchildren; one great- granddaughter; brother-in-law, Glen Vail and 10 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Willard; sisters, Doris Willard and Patricia Vail and brothers-in-law, Carl Wayne Vail and Don Vail.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015, at the mortuary. Reverend Jay Geshay will be officiating.
