Indiana Design Center offers workshops
INDIANAPOLIS — The Indiana Design Center (IDC) is offering a series of free one-hour interior decorating workshops to help homeowners breathe new life into their decorating schemes. The Designer on Call Workshop series meets at 10:30 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at IDC, 200 S. Rangeline Road in Carmel. The topic for the October workshop is “Q&A: The Doctor is IN to Solve Your Design Dilemmas!” presented by Angie Fischer from Interior Design Therapy. Artcraft Theatre brings in acting workshops
FRANKLIN — Actor/director Peter Spellos, whose 30-year career includes working with some of the top people in the film and TV industry, will teach a number of theater workshops at the Artcraft Theatre, 57 N. Main St., Franklin: a two-day Improv Workshop Weekend from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 24 and 25; a evening improv workshop from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 29; and an acting workshop, Scene Study/Cold Reading Technique for Stage, Screen and Television, from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 27 and 28.
