The Brown County Playhouse presents “Ladies for Liberty” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the playhouse, 70 S. Van Buren St. in Nashville. Relive the era, the costumes and the hairstyles of the 1940s Andrew Sisters with such hits as “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree,” and more patriotic songs. Veterans are invited to wear something that represents the military and will be recognized. Locally bottled beer and wine will be sold in the auditorium. Indianapolis Opera presents “The man who mistook his wife for a hat” Friday through Sunday at the Schrott Center for the Arts, 610 46th St. on the Butler University campus, Indianapolis. Based on the 1970 novel by Oliver Sacks and composed by Michael Nyman, this opera explores the world of mental illness through the eyes of a man who sees the world very differently from those around him.
