MCCORDSVILLE — A local hairdresser was arrested Thursday after a woman said he assaulted her while giving her a haircut at his McCordsville home.

Robert Baugh, 53, was arrested Thursday on felony charges of sexual battery and criminal confinement.

The victim told police she was at Baugh’s home in the 6800 block of Littleton Drive in McCordsville in late June when he attacked her, according to court documents.

Baugh was acting strangely, the woman told police, and tried to rub her shoulders and attempted to grab her chest. At one point, Baugh bent over and bit her, according to court documents.

The woman told police she tried to leave Baugh’s home, but he stopped her and tried to explain his actions.

When questioned, Baugh told police the woman had asked him to give her a massage, court records state.

Both charges Baugh faces are Level 6 felonies. If convicted, Baugh could face up to five years in jail.
