Teen leads rain-delayed Indiana championship

Due to inclement weather, Tuesday’s round of the 100th Indiana Open Championship at The Brickyard Crossing was postponed until Wednesday.

The delay didn’t effect 18-year-old Timothy Hildebrand. The incoming Purdue golfer finished his final two holes at 2-under-par for a second round total of 4-under-par 68. Combined with his first-round score of 67, he carries a three-shot lead into the 36-hole finale.

Hildebrand will continue his golf career at Purdue this fall and was a member of the 2014-15 Indiana High School Athletic Association golf team state champion Westfield Shamrocks.
