Betty L.”McClarnon” Bitner, 80, of Greenfield, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015, at her home in Greenfield. She was born April 8, 1935, in Hancock Co., the daughter of the late Loran and Nola McClarnon.

Betty graduated from Charlottesville High School and retired from GMAC Financial after 30 years of service. She was an avid bird watcher, gardener, baker, and reader. She was also a collector of Thomas Kinkade, china dolls and cookbooks. She was an organist and pianist for her church for many years and so loved her family and friends.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl (Ron) Graeflin of Katy, Texas and Stephanie (Chris) Pitcock of Shirley; grandchildren, Brittny (Andy) Rouse of Greenfield, Aaron (Ashley) Cole of Pendleton and Zacary and Abigail Graeflin of Katy, Texas; great -grandchildren, Hayden and Madisyn Rose; sister Jean(Joe) Prickett of Fortville; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Ottie (O.J.) Bitner; parents and stepfather Herbert Klika.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 – 8 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015, and one hour prior to service, which will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2015, at Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Rev. Phil Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
