Barbara J. Hancock, 86, of Greenfield, passed away surrounded by her loving family Sunday morning July 5, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born May 22, 1929, in Bellflower, Ill., to the late Horace & Minnie (Duncan) Windmiller.
Barbara attended Rochester High School, was a homemaker, a former seamstress and a member of Faith Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Darla J. (Kevin) Carter of New Palestine and grandson, Mark Carter, also of New Palestine.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband George N. Hancock; brothers, Lawrence Windmiller, Robert Windmiller and sister, Frances Hayes.
Friends may call from 2 – 3 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2015 ,at Faith Lutheran Church, 200 West McKenzie Road, Greenfield. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Dan O’Connor officiating. A private family burial will be held at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rochester, Ind.
Memorial contributions in honor of Barbara may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.
