Phyllis (Bandy) Deaton, 74, of Greenfield, Friday, June 26, 2015. She was born on June 28, 1940, in Old Hickory, Tenn., as the daughter of Phillip and Evelyn (Truelove) Bandy. She graduated from Old Hickory High School in 1958.
Phyllis is survived by her children, Dana (Pat) Kelly and Bill (Janie) Deaton, Jr., all of Greenfield; stepdaughter, Leisa Deaton of Greenfield; sister, Wilma Johnson of Deckard, Tenn.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Evelyn Bandy; husband, Bill Deaton, Sr. and sister, Gloria Cecil.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent directly to Hancock Regional Hospital Foundation, Attn: Cancer Care Endowment, 801 N. State Street, Greenfield, IN 46140 or envelopes will be available at the mortuary.
