Judith Ann Hopkins, 67, of New Palestine, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015. Judy was born in Indianapolis, to Truman and Katherine “Jewell” Elmore on April 21, 1948. After graduating from Warren Central High School, she married Bill Hopkins on October 8, 1966.
Judy worked for various companies over the years, and most recently was employed at Community Pediatric Center. Judy’s role in the lives of her family, extended family, and many friends was her greatest source of pleasure.
She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, William “Bill” Hopkins Sr.; sister, Paulette Slevin (Bill); son, William “Lee” Hopkins Jr. (Sally); daughter, Terri A. Bass (Andy); grandchildren, Ethan, Emily and Kaitlyn Hopkins and Brandon, Austin, Olivia and Zachary Bass.
She will be dearly missed by many family and extended family and friends.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Truman Elmore and Jewell Elmore Allgood; stepfather, Eugene Allgood.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel. Funeral services for Judith Ann Hopkins will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015, at Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel, with burial at Acton Cemetery.
