Helen C. Engleking, 84, of Salem, Ind., passed away Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Meadow View Health Care and Rehab. Mrs. Engleking was born June 7, 1930, in New Castle, and was the daughter of Norman and Hattie Huddleston Couch.
She was a retired employee of Western Electric and Older Americans. She was a member of Westview Christian Church.
Helen married Norvin Neal Engleking on Feb. 26, 1950, and he preceded her in death on April 24, 2010.
She is survived by sons, Larry Engleking of Hardinsburg, Jim Engleking of Wolcott and David Engleking of Salem; daughters, Deborah Kienow of Winona, Minn. and Brenda Buck of Knightstown; brothers, Lyman Couch and Bill Couch, both of Greenfield; sisters, Gladys Reeves of Collinsville, Okla., Ann Bricker of Wilkinson, Laura Sexton of Indianapolis and Linda Monroe of Greenfield; 13 grandchildren and 26 great- grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Couch; sisters, Marie Burkhart and Louise Edwards; a granddaughter and her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m.Tuesday, June 9, 2015, and 9 a.m. to time of service Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
