Gwen M. Wallace, 76, of Greenfield, passed away at Hancock Regional Hospital, Greenfield. She was born Nov. 10, 1938, in Greenfield, to the late John Rockey and Margaret (Gambrel) Pettigrew.
Gwen worked for Crider’s Drive Inn throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s, Harlan-Sprague-Dawley 1979 through 1995 and Hancock Senior Services until her retirement in 2003. She loved spending time with her family, flower gardening and jig saw puzzles.
She is survived by sons, Ernie (Janet) Ball, Michael (Chris) Ball, all of Greenfield; brother, James Rockey of New Palestine; sister, Ruby Reynolds of Indianapolis; five grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren.
Gwen is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Wallace; brother, Gerald Rockey and sister, Lois Tompkins.
Friends may call 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wednesday , June 10, 2015, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, June 10, 2015, with burial immediately following at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
