Cougars schedule summer football camp
The Greenfield-Central football camp for players in incoming Grades 7 and 8 will be July 6 through 9 at the Greenfield-Central High School practice fields.
Cost is $40, includes T-shirt. Camp will run from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
Registration is due June 22.

Mt. Vernon golfers top Frankton, Daleville
The Mt. Vernon boys golf team swept a thee-way match, finishing with a 159, ahead of Frankton (173) and Daleville (176).
The Marauders’ Oliver Mast and Will Dant were co-medalists with 38s. Jack Harker added a 41 and Jacob Ault carded a 42 to complete the Mt. Vernon scoring.
The Marauders improved to 10-5.

New Palestine girls set basketball camps
The New Palestine High School girls basketball program invites all young women in Grades 1 to 7 who are interested in playing basketball to attend summer camps June 8 to 11 at Sugar Creek Elementary.
The camp will be run by the varsity coaching staff with help from current and former players. Grades 1 to 3 will attend from 9 to 10:15 a.m. and Grades 4 to 7 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

New Palestine wins Ironman Challenge
The New Palestine football team recently conducted its second annual Ironman Challenge weightlifting competition. The Dragons won the team championship for the second straight year with 510 total points, ahead of Richmond (341), Seymour (266) and Rushville (224).
Each school choose two participants to lift in each of the nine different weight classes. Each participant performed bench press, squat and clean during the session.
Of the nine weight classes, New Palestine had six individual champions: Jordan Shanahan (165), Nick Brickens (185), Solomon Fair (200), Michael Woodall (230), David Judy (265) and Andrew Yazel (heavyweight).

Mt. Vernon High School will host several sport camps during the summer break.
