Race fans can worship night before Indy 500

GREENFIELD — Trinity Park United Methodist Church will have a service at 5:30 p.m. May 23 for Indianapolis 500 race fans who will be at the track the next morning and for any other worshipers who wish to attend.

Dress is casual.

Annual music festival set at Bradley United

GREENFIELD — Bradley United Methodist Church Music Ministry will present its annual Music Festival at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday.

Mt. Lebanon church prepares for fish fry

BRANDYWINE TOWNSHIP — Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church’s Spring Fish Fry is set for 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. today.

The menu features fried fish, hot dogs, french fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, dessert and a beverage.

An offering will be accepted for missions and other special projects.

Prayer time to focus on persecuted church

GREENFIELD — St. Paul’s Anglican Reformed Episcopal Church invites Christians to a time of prayer for the persecuted church at 7 a.m. Mondays at St. Paul’s, 20 W. South St.

Men’s Fellowship serving breakfast

FORTVILLE — The Men’s Fellowship of Fortville First United Methodist Church will have all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. today at the church, 125 E. Staat St.

Cost is $5 for adults. Children 12 years old and younger eat free with a paid adult.

Motorcycle riders gather for fellowship

GREENFIELD — Members of the Crossroad Riders, the Greenfield chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, meet at 9 a.m. the third Saturday of most months at Jim Dandy restaurant and also gather to enjoy rides together.

The group will do a blessing at American Legion Post 119’s Rally for Veterans motorcycle ride supporting the Job Ready Veterans Program. The event is set for 9 a.m. today.

McCORDSVILLE — McCordsville United Methodist Church will serve breakfast from 7:30 to 10 a.m. May 23.

An offering for the meal will benefit the church.

‘Godly Man’ study continues at New Life

FORTVILLE — New Life Christian Fellowship is offering a monthly study for men, “Living as a Godly Man in an Ungodly World.” It began Tuesday and continues monthly.

The study will continue at 7 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month.

The remaining class topics are:

July 21: The Purity of a Godly Man

Aug. 18: The Stability of a Godly Man

Clinic tells how to share influence

GREENFIELD — A Missionary Outreach Clinic is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at St. James Lutheran Church, 1741 S. State St.

Kent R. Hunter and Tracee J. Swank will be presenters.

Participants will learn how to tell their stories, how to move their churches out into the community and how to change from a culture of volunteerism to discipling, among other topics.
