NEW PALESTINE — Zion Lutheran School recently joined more than 2,200 Lutheran schools across the country to celebrate National Lutheran Schools Week.

Always a big hit with students, dress-up days for the week included pajama day, sports team T-shirt/jersey day, holiday day, super-hero/villain day and crazy day.

Special events throughout the week added to students’ excitement, including a visit from author Philip Rigdon, a field trip to Lutheran High School of Indianapolis to join other students in area Lutheran schools in hearing Christian singer Sarah Wilkinson, a school talent show and a large pep rally.

Residents wishing to visit Lutheran schools, or find out more about the recent celebrations, may stop by the school from 2 to 7 p.m. during the kindergarten through eighth-grade open house Feb. 19 or call the Zion Lutheran School office at 317-861-4210 to set up a visit.
