Alice (Michael) Depew, 81, of Fortville passed away in her home on Jan. 8, 2015, following an extended illness. She was born on March 22, 1933, in Indianapolis, to the late Jesse Harold and Thelma (Burdette) Michael.

She was a member of the Grandview Church of the Brethren in Pendleton.

Alice worked for more than ten years at Orange-Julius in Castleton Square Mall and served as a local Avon representative. She was an avid bingo player and also spent many hours enjoying crossword puzzles.

Alice is survived by one son, Mike (Theresa Murphy) Depew of Fortville; two daughters, Cindy (Michael) High of Pendleton, and Carolyn (Jerry) Garner of Raleigh, N.C.; one stepdaughter, Brenda Hutson of Huntsville, Tenn., as well as several loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  A dear friend of the family, Ivan Paul, also survives.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Robert Depew; daughter, Thelma June Depew; 2 brothers, Jimmie Michael and Junior Michael and 2 sisters, Olive Delores Garrett and Lois Dean Michael.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service at Grandview Church of the Brethren, 9064 West Grandview Boulevard, Pendleton, IN 46064. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13th at Grandview Church of the Brethren with Chaplain Thomas McEwen officiating.
