Shirley G. Wright Moss, 80, of New Palestine, passed away Nov. 29, 2014. She was born June 16, 1934, in Indianapolis to the late William P. and Ruby Price Wright.
Shirley was a graduate of Shortridge High School, Class of 1952 and the Methodist Hospital Nursing Program.
Shirley was a registered nurse at Methodist Hospital and then at Community East Hospital working in the OB/GYN unit for 25 years. She was a member of New Palestine United Methodist Church and of NAACOG (Nurses’ Association of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists).
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Charles E. Moss; children, Pamela A. (Timothy) Shaw, Charles E. (Heidi) Moss II and Barbara J. (Ronald) Whitt; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Thornton and Nikki Mattingly; and many nieces and nephews.
A sister, Wilma Jean White has preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St. with funeral services Thursday at noon.
