Daniel P. Jones, 72, of Greenfield, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2014, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born on Oct. 18, 1941, in Gary, Ind., as the son of Charles A. and Linnie Mae (Zook) Jones.
He graduated from Arsenal Tech High School. He served in the Army Reserve for six years. He married Carylon S. (Ring) on Dec. 8, 1996.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Carylon S. (Ring) Jones of Greenfield; sons, Daniel Patrick (Lisa) Jones II, of Fortville and Andrew Robert Jones of Greenfield; two stepdaughters, Sheri of Greenfield and Tamara of Virginia Beach, Va.; brothers, Charles T. (Mary Kay) Jones, of Shreveport, La., and Joseph Kevin Jones of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren and one on the way.
He was preceded in death by his identical twin brother, Dennis M. Jones; parents, Charles A. and Linnie Mae (Zook) Jones; and stepmother, Ruth M. Jones.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 we. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. Father George Nangachiveettil will be officiating.
