Lowell (Les) E. Spencer III, 68, of Plainfield, died on Saturday, May 31, 2014, at his residence. He was born in Shelbyville, on June 24, 1945, a son of Lowell E. Spencer, Jr. and the late Betty (Hauk) Spencer.
He is survived by wife, Cathy A. (Philpot) Spencer; daughter, Shelley (Ronald) Spencer-Hellmich, of Indianapolis; son, Craig (Brook) Spencer, of Plainfield; brother, Lanta (L.V.) (Susan) Spencer, of Houston; three brother in laws; two grandchildren; a niece; four nephews and two uncles.
Proceeded in death by his brother, Charles (Chuck) Spencer and his father-in-law.
Visitation will be from 4- 8 p.m. on Wednesday June 4, 2014, at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel. Services at will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Bell Mortuary & Crematory, Shangrila Chapel, with Chaplain Ben Keckler officiating. Burial in Asbury Cemetery, Morristown, Ind.
