William Stanford (Bill) Noland, 92, of Anderson, formerly of Markleville, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014. He was born April 6, 1921 in Cadiz, Ind., the son of the late William C. and Ethel M. (Hull) Noland.
He proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII. Serving in Northern Africa, two Beaches at Normandy and the Pacific Theater.
Survivors include his daughter, Martha Marie (Bob) Davis of Parker, Colo.; son, Charles Noland of Markleville; three granddaughters; three grandsons; four great grandchildren and a sister, Irma Barber of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Carolyn in 2004.
Friends will be received at the funeral home from 4- 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. Masonic and Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014, in the Condo and Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson with Markleville Masonic Lodge #629 and Pastor Matt Wickham will be officiating. Burial will follow at McCray Cemetery in Wilkinson.
