Frederick Kenneth “Fred” Craig, 96, of Anderson, went to his heavenly home on Feb. 26, 2014. He was born March 1, 1917, to Melvin Oscar and Gertrude (Johnson) Craig in Madison County, Ind.
Fred graduated from Kennard High School in 1936, and worked in farming before retiring from Best Lock of Indianapolis in 1983.
Fred was a loving husband to his surviving wife, Margaret. He is also survived by his sons, Danny (Debbie) Craig of Greenfield, Charles (Rosie) Craig of Calif.; daughters, Helen (Lowry) McCord of Ky., Winnifred (Bill) Kellogg of Minn., Margie Ray of Ind., Mary Margaret (Lonnie) Carnes of Greenfield, and Charlene (Gary) Wolff of Minn; stepson, Gary (Shirley) Fisher of Alexandria. Fred also had many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and several great-great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Iva Craig; two sisters; a brother; a son; two stepsons; and a stepdaughter.
Visitation will be 11-1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at the funeral home. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service and Crematory. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery.
