Thomas Worth Pitts, 59, entered eternal rest on Friday Feb. 7, 2014. He was born April 27, 1954, to the late Robert Worth Pitts and Janice Louise (Howren) Pitts. He married Ra Jean (Miller) Pitts on Oct. 22, 1977. He was a lifelong resident of Carthage.
Tom enjoyed riding his mules, working around his small farm and being around his family and friends. He was a member of the Walnut Ridge Friends Church of Carthage. Tom was a former K of P member. He worked many years for AT&T of Indianapolis.
Tom will be greatly missed by his wife, Ra Jean Pitts; sister, Anna Marie Haase of Carthage; 11 nephews; 13 nieces, nine great -nephews and 15 great -nieces.
Services for Tom will be held 11:30 a.m.Tuesday, Feb. 11 at Walnut Ridge Friends Meeting in Carthage. Friends visited the funeral home from 4 – 8 p.m. Monday evening, Feb. 10, 2014, at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown. Burial will be in Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Carthage with Pastor Roger Campbell presiding.
