William F. Jennings, 78, of Greenfield passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at his home in Elberta, Ala. He was born Aug. 19, 1935, in Pittsburgh, Ill., to the late Auda and Hallie (Tidwell) Jennings. William served in the Navy from 1954 until 1958. He married Sandra (Parnell) Jennings on Sept. 1, 1972.

William was active in the community and was a member of Hancock #101, F.&A.M., American Legion Post #119 where he was Past Commander, V.F.W. Post #6904, Fortville,  Hancock F.O.P Lodge #140, 40 & 8 Voiture #1415, was a life member of both the American Legion and the V.F.W. William was a member of Curry’s Chapel United Methodist Church, Greenfield.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Jennings; daughter, Diana (Alan) Bryant of Elberta, Ala.; five grandchildren and three great- grandchildren.

William is preceded in death by his parents and sons, Dale Jennings, Michael Jennings and David Jennings and sister, Karen Redenbaugh.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, IN 46140. Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at the funeral home with Jim Hibbard officiating. Burial with full military rites to follow at Park Cemetery, Greenfield.
