Warren Dale Sipes, 88, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospital. He was born on Dec. 20, 1924, in Shelbyville, the son of William Dennis and Della (Shoemaker) Sipes.
He graduated from Knightstown High School. He married Helen L. (Riley) Sipes.
He worked for Ford Motor Company, in Indianapolis, as an Inspector from 1957 until 1985. Dale was a member at Trinity Park United Methodist Church in Greenfield. He loved sports, was an avid Cub and Purdue sports fan, and also enjoyed playing golf.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; daughter, Joyce A. (Gary) Deaton of Greenfield; and grandchildren, Alisha, Scott and Jennifer.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; twelve brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 3 until 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013, at 10 a.m. also at the mortuary. Reverend Mike Manning will be officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
