Floyd E. "Gene" Brown, 76, of Greenfield, died Aug. 27, 2013. He was born July 22, 1937, in Greenfield, to Floyd and Frieda (Slifer) Brown. He served in the Army from 1953-1962.
He is survived by son, Floyd E. Brown II. of Greenwood; three daughters, Sherri Brown of Greenfield, Kay (Jim) Myers of Greenfield, and Anna (Matt) Leaman of Greenwood; 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Hardymon of Greenfield; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by nine siblings and parents.
A memorial service will be held for Floyd at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at the V.F.W.Post 2693, 529 N. Apple St., Greenfield, Ind.
