Dorothy Rose (Martin) Draper
Dorothy Rose (Martin) Draper, 89, of New Palestine, passed away on August 22, 2013. She was born February 8, 1924, to John H. and Mary F. Martin (Brown) in Indianapolis, and was raised by her aunt Nell.
Dorothy was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, then married Max Draper. She enjoyed being a homemaker.
Dorothy is survived by her nieces, Lauren (Jim) Claypool and Carolyn (Tom) Black.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Mark Gregory Draper, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1970; sister, Bridget Stifle; half-sister, Mary Dennis; and her half-brother, Patrick Martin.
Visitation was from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday August 26, 2013, at Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine. The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday August 27, 2013.
