Charles “Andy” Maroska

Charles “Andy” Maroska, 81, of Greenfield, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at his home. Andy was born in Hancock County, July 9, 1932, to the late Jesse D. and Iva Mae (Wilson) Maroska-Gale.

Andy was a graduate of Eden High School and married his wife of 61 years Susie (Rash) on December 22, 1951. He retired from the Chrysler Corporation  in 1987, and continued to farm part time.

Andy is survived by his wife, Susie; son, Michael F. (Kris) Maroska of Greenfield; daughters; Sharon Fry (companion Steve Walters) of Greenfield, Debbie Ginley of Middletown and Kim (Jack) Thornburg of Fredericksburg, Va.; sisters, Jessie Turner-Scott of Greenfield and Judy Trennepohl of Middletown; grandchildren, Bill (Sheri) Bednarski of Greenfield, Nathan (Aren) Ginley of Bloomfield, Ind., Stacy Ginley of Middletown, Jason Maroska  and Andrew (Danielle) Maroska, all of Greenfield, and Laura and Sarah Thornburg of Fredericksburg, Va.; great-grandchildren, Tori, Austin and Sydni  Bednarski, Wyatt and Evelyn Ginley and Colten Maroska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Charles A. Maroska; grandson, Justin M. Maroska; and son-in-law, Richard Ginley.

Friends may call from 4 – 8 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, 1780 West Main Street, Greenfield, Indiana 46140. Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, at the funeral home, with burial immediately following at Eden United Methodist Church Cemetery, Eden, Ind.
