Ralph M. Lee
Ralph M. Lee, 65, a "longtime" resident of New Palestine, earned his wings and entered Heaven on July 3, 2013. Ralph was born in Indianapolis on July 3, 1948.
He was a proud Howe Hornet 1966 graduate and served in the Indiana National Guard for six years. Ralph was a self-employed contractor owning his own business Perfection Stone & Windows.
After retiring he got his "dream job" working at The Link's Golf Course in New Palestine. Ralph was very active and involved in several local community activities over the past 45 years.
He was a past President and a "great" softball coach with the New Palestine Youth League, also involved with the New Palestine Athletics Boosters where he served as President and was involved with getting girls softball and soccer into New Palestine High School athletic program in 1986.
He was a Rotarian with the Greenfield Rotary Club where he also served as a past President. He was also an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. He also served as a past President of New Palestine United Church. Ralph's greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was his families "Biggest Fan" in any activity they participated in. He loved traveling, golfing and just being with his family. His Grandchildren were his pride and joy, they adored their Papaw and he adored them. He reminded his family daily that, "You only live once and you can't take it with you."
Surviving and missing Ralph are his wife, Sharon of 45 years; his daughters,
Heather (Brett) Hill and Shelley (Jim) Dammann; 5 grandchildren, Jordan, Payton, Madison, Kendall and Blake. And his beloved "fur baby" Rascal. Also surviving are his Mother, Carrie Mae; brothers, Chuck (Sharon), Joe(Karla) and Jim(Lori); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilbur Lee; and infant daughter, Shannon Kay.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. at New Palestine United Methodist Church on Monday July 8th. Funeral service will be Tuesday July 9th at 11 a.m. at the New Palestine United Methodist Church
Arrangements are being handled by Hendryx Mortuary in New Palestine.
Ralph's last wish was in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ralph Lee Memorial Fund at Greenfield Banking Company 5783 W US 52, New Palestine, IN or any Greenfield Banking location.
