Lana (Smith) Blakely
Lana (Smith) Blakely, 65, Greenfield, passed away May 12, 2013, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Born July 17, 1947, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of William and Betty (Christoff) Smith.
She worked as an inspector for Jenn-Air in Indianapolis for 23 years before retiring in 2000. Lana was a member of Greenfield Presbyterian Church.
Surviving her are her children, Vicky (Ron) Johnson of Greenfield, Tony Blakely of Greenfield, and Cathy Blakely Rigby of St. Louis, Mo.; sister, Claudia Hardcastle of Franklin, Ind.; grandchildren, Missy, Michelle, Ethan, and Mason; five great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her granddaughter, Jenny Johnson.
Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m., Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory in Greenfield, with funeral services immediately following at 7 p.m. at the mortuary. Pastor John Paulson will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Erlewein Mortuary, 1484 W. US 40, Greenfield, IN, 46140 to help defray funeral expenses.
