Randall "Randy" D. Owens
Randall “Randy” D. Owens, 52, of Carthage, went with his Creator on Sat., March 30, 2013, at Hancock Regional Hospital with family by his side.
Randy was born March 18, 1961, in Beech Grove, to Max and Barbara (Gottfried) Owens of Wilkinson.
Randy married Cathy Payne on Sept. 2, 1983. He loved his work for the United States Postal Service, Oaklandon. He was an avid outdoorsman, grillmaster, and nothing could hold him down. He loved taking walks in the woods with his grandchildren, letting them see the beauty of nature. Rest in peace with nature by your side. May the river, woods & peacefulness set you free.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Cathy (Payne) Owens of Carthage; 4 children, Jessica (David) Johnson of Knightstown, Tiffani Wilfong of Indianapolis, Dustin Owens of Carthage, Bailey (Matthew) Leece of Wilkinson; his parents; grandchildren, Logan Tate, Regan Tate, Dianna Tate, William Stanley, Jonathan Stanley, Jada, Corey Leece, Max Leece; 1 great-grandson, Landon Atkins; and 2 sisters, Rhonda (Steve) Marcum, and Renee (Brian) Collins.
Friends will be received from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Condo & Son Funeral Home in Wilkinson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2013, at the funeral home, with Pastors Steve Marcum and Joe Roysden officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Carthage.
