Donna M. Galerman
Donna M. Galerman, 86, of Greenfield, died on March 25, 2013. Born on Feb. 13, 1927, in Grant County, she was the daughter of Fred and Elsie (Bednar) Overshiner.
Donna graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Pharmacy. She married Lionel Galerman, and worked for Hooks Drugs as a pharmacist for thirty years before retiring in 1988.
Donna was a member of the United Methodist Church in Summittville. She was a 50 year member of Indiana Pharmacists; a member of the Purdue Alumni Association, and a member of the John Purdue Club. She loved knitting, and earned several awards for her craft, including a blue ribbon at the Indiana State Fair. She also loved doing ceramics and gardening.
Surviving her are her husband, Lionel Galerman of Greenfield; sister, Anna Lee Ravenscroft of Tulsa, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother, Verle Overshiner.
A memorial visitation will be from 4 – 6 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Burial will take place at Forrestville Cemetery, Boone Township, in Madison County, Ind.
