Jerry Hale, 78, passed away on Feb. 6, 2013. Born on Feb. 27, 1934, in Dugger, Ind., he was the son of Marion R. and Mildred (Coffey) Hale.

Jerry graduated from Linton High School and married Marilyn J. Houston on Dec. 26, 1954. He worked as a truck driver for Merico and Earthgrains for over 34 years. Mr. Hale was proud to have traveled over 3 million miles without an accident. Jerry was a steward for Local #135 Teamster’s Union.  He also loved to travel and spend time with his family. Additionally, he loved his dog, Hershey.

Surviving him are his wife, Marilyn J. Hale of Greenfield; children, Khris (Kristi) Hale of Carmel and Kim (James) Foreman of Greenfield; grandchildren, Cherish, Amber, Haley, Joel, Joseph, Gabrielle, Gavin, and Caroline; and great-grandchildren, Rain, Sky, and Violet.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and sister, Jeraldine Kendall.

Visitation will be from Noon until 2 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. and entombment will take place at Washington Park East.
