Doris M. Meyers, 97, of Indianapolis, passed away Feb. 4, 2013. She was born Feb. 27, 1915, in Hedrick, Iowa, to the late Hillis and Ollie Noel Humphreys.
Doris married Lewis T. Meyers in 1939, and he preceded her in death in 1970. She was a bank teller for Merchants Bank for many years, and a member of Downey Avenue Christian Church.
Doris is survived by her children, Cynthia Morris and Lewis J. Meyers; grandchildren, Brent Morris and Deana Lucas (Jason); great-grandchildren, Rylee Morris and Arielle Lucas; siblings, Cynthia Rupe, Vernon Humphreys, Nina Forsythe and Eva Adams; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 E. Washington St.
