Maxie D. Price, 88, of New Palestine, passed away on Sept. 20, 2012, in Indianapolis. Born on Aug. 14, 1924, in Cumberland, Ky., she was the daughter of Frank and Priscilla (McCracken) Houston.

She married George Elmer Price and worked as a homemaker. She also worked as a hostess and waitress at the Tee Pee Restaurant in Indianapolis for 20 years.

Maxie was a loving mother and grandmother and was very dedicated to her children. She kept her spirits up because of her love for the Lord. She was a member of Calvary Temple in Indianapolis.

Surviving her are her daughters, Diana B. Ford of New Palestine, and Patricia A. Needham of Shelbyville; sister, Sue Garland of Union City; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband; son, Ronnie E. Price; four brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield.  Visitation will take place from noon until the time of the service. Burial will take place at Fountaintown Cemetery.
