Imogene (Smith) Calvert, 80, of Indianapolis, died on Sept. 4, 2012, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. She was born on Oct. 30, 1931, in Ashland, Ky. She was the daughter of George and Minnie (Ritchie) Smith.
Surviving Imogene are her children, Angela (Ron) Parker of Beech Grove, David (Betty) King of Pendleton, Sandy (Randy) Wilkerson of Indianapolis, and Randy (Tammy) King of Anderson; step-daughter, Susie Lee of Ark.; sisters, Ruby Hicks of Ashland, KY, Bethel Downard of Wellston, Ohio, Eva Clark of Ashland, KY, Minnie Duke of Morgantown, Ind; brothers, Roy Smith, Charles Smith, and Henry Smith, all of Ashland, KY; 8 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Jordan; and brothers, George Smith and William Smith.
Visitation will be held from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6 at Erlewein Mortuary in Fortville. Funeral services will take place on Friday, Sept. 7 at 11 a.m. also at the mortuary. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
