Charles Lawrence Sindledecker, 95, of Greenfield, passed away on Aug. 10, 2012. Born on June 19, 1917, in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of Charles Lawrence and Marie (Clifton) Sindledecker.

Charles married Virginia Bell on June 21, 1941, in Warren, Ohio. He earned his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Kent State University and worked in Dade County, Fla., as a Teacher, Administrator, and Media Specialist for many years.

Mr. Sindledecker was a member of Exchange Clubs in Miami, Fla. and Cleveland, Ohio. He previously attended the First Methodist Church of Warren, Ohio and the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was a former Boy Scout Leader and was awarded the Silver Beaver award. Charles loved being with his family and attending baseball games. He also loved watching his grandchildren’s sports activities.

Surviving him are his daughter and son-in-law, Carole and David Storch of Greenfield and Englewood, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Dr. Maxine Sindledecker of Boca Raton, Fla.; grandchildren, Kris Storch, Kevin Storch, Shannon (Storch) Novak, Dr. Amanda Sindledecker, Sarah Sindledecker, and Jordan Charles Sindledecker; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Virginia; and son, Dr. Larry Sindledecker.

Visitation will take place from 3 until 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012, at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. A Memorial Service will follow at 4 p.m. at the mortuary. Entombment will take place at Boca Raton Mausoleum in Boca Raton, Fla.
